After returning to our hometown and settling there for more than a decade, we made an important decision in our lives in 2020: to realize our dreams with our own hands and create a place for ourselves and every traveler to stop and feel life. This road is not smooth. Starting from scratch, from design to construction, every detail witnessed our journey with our dreams.
This is a journey of struggle that lasted more than three years. Finally, Shansheng Youxin B&B was born as scheduled in the spring of 2023. We personally participated in and carefully planned the design of each space, from the initial conception to every detail, striving to perfectly present our imagination of a better life in every inch of space.
As newcomers with no construction experience, we were not afraid of challenges. From iron binding and formwork engineering to plumbing and electrical installation and interior furniture, we worked shoulder to shoulder with the masters, learning step by step, and even doing it ourselves to experience every construction process. We laid almost all the floor tiles of the entire B&B by ourselves. From the initial mess to the final meticulousness, this journey of exploration and persistence finally allowed us to see the complete appearance of this space.
During the construction process, we were lost many times and felt like we were stuck in a dead end. We were filled with confusion and doubt. But every time, we chose to grit our teeth and persevere, bravely getting out of the predicament. Facing the scorching sun in Penghu summer and the biting cold wind in winter, physical and mental fatigue often made us hesitate. However, looking back on this journey, all the efforts and persistence turned into incomparable pride and satisfaction at the moment the B&B was completed.
